It started off nice and friendly, the hand shake of two war hardened gladiators ready for what would the battle of their lives.

There was great anticipation all around the stadium as the charismatic defending champ's antics grew wilder with each stroke of his highly strung racquet. (the face says it all).
The fancy footwork and powerful forehand of the gritty Swede, was to dazzle even those having lunch nearby. (but would it be enough?)

This is how the match progressed throughout hours and hours of hard-hitting, foot-stomping monkey business.

After 3 days of continuous play and 15 sets of tiebreakers, McAroni (as you can see) was gracious as always in his triumph over the hot-headed Bjoggersson

But in the years to follow McAroni would soon learn that he had not seen the last of his old nemesis.

"I will return!" vows the Swede
